Our workshops are based on a “Design before design” approach. Rather than engaging in participation from the outset – through interviews, focus groups or user-centred dialogue – we form our own impressions of the care technology field – through desk research, personal experiences and media coverage – and generate speculative ideas for potential technological solutions that might emerge.

This approach generally ensures that our concepts will contain biases, carelessness, bad science and raise issues across disciplines, especially between human advocacy and technological specialities.

Our concepts are designed to be presented to mixed groups from different research areas, within the care and technology field, as real solutions which are intended to be rolled out in the very near future.
